Tsugunaga Momoko – the Last Photobook previews

You should be aware by now that Tsugunaga Momoko, the longtime Hello! Project presence, Berryz Koubou member, and Country Girls playing manager, graduates from H!P and the public eye on June 30, 2017. Post-graduation plans for the idol include a career in education (just think about Momochi with kindergartners …). But, before she makes her way to the Idol Hall of Fame, she graces us with one last photobook: “Momochi”.

Yamaki Risa in Weekly Big Comic Spirits 2016 vol. 50

I’ve been saying it for a while now. Yamaki Risa is a pretty young thing. Her sweetness and grace come through in this set of photos from Weekly Big Comic Spirits. With any luck this won’t be the last we see of the latest princess of Hello! Project.

Always be wary of such a sweeping title. But, in this case Weekly Shounen Sunday may have things just about right with this selection of girls from Hello! Project.

Murota Mizuki is Daily Logirl #485

I don’t know what it is, but Murota Mizuki has “it”. It’s an appeal that shouldn’t belong to her, but it belongs to her all the same. As much as I am a fool for Sasaki Rikako, I can’t ignore Mizuki.
This is the final entry for Daily LoGirl’s series on Angerme, and they really went out with a BANG!

Nakanishi Kana is Daily LoGirl #481

As I go through these, I can’t help but think about how much the shin S/mileage generation has grown over the years. My favorite girl has been Kana because she always seemed a bit helpless, clueless, and cheery (these are all grea qualities). But, I must admit that my little girl has grown up.

Sato Masaki in Weekly Young Jump [2016 No. 28]

Sato Masaki seems to be moving up in the world! Once the little gremlin of the group, Maachan now handles much of the group’s vocal duties and spends quite a bit of time at center position. Here, Sato takes the camera to Hokkaido for a set of photos that are somehow both playful and full of desolate isolation.

Takeuchi Akari is Daily LoGirl #479

Let’s celebrate. Akari really blossomed into a beautiful girl and an excellent vocalist to boot! This is a continuation of this series of Daily LoGirl, which will include all of Angerme by series’ end.

Inaba Manaka in Weekly Young Jump [2016 No. 28]

Maybe a bit bittersweet, but Country Girl Inaba Manaka turns in a solid set of photographs from Hokkaido. I hope the sweetness and loveliness of Manakan comes through in this set. Most of us are missing her in Country Girls. I can’t wait for her to come back. Enjoy the lost Country Girl; may she return stronger and healthier!

Katsuta Rina is Daily LoGirl #470

Katsuta Rina is a girl who is currently growing on me like a bug bite. There’s no denying her work and talent have paid off for her. Her perpetually tired “energy conservation mode” throws me for a loop, but that’s just fun character, right? I’ll also mention that she’s got the goods. I particularly like the third picture in the series (after the jump)

Sasaki Rikako is Daily LoGirl #469

Maybe I overestimate your knowledge of my personal likes and dislikes, so I’ll be clear here: Sasaki Rikako is the best! I think these pictures clearly show why she models regularly in Japan.
